Future Stars Under The Radar

Jack Phillips | Class of 2025 | X: @jack_61_attack

The menacing 6’2” 235-pound All-District defensive end from Arlington High School (Tx.) does not take plays off. Phillips has an extremely high motor, he is very coachable, and he is a student of the game. Phillips plays the game like an old-school defensive lineman, who can line up inside or outside as an edge defender.

Rarely does Phillips break containment coming off the edge, he has a quick

first step, and he has exceptional body control. When speaking with Jack, I asked him what three different things he took from the game of football. In no order, first no matter what happens the job still needs to get done. Secondly, Phillips has learned to lead by example. Instead of talking noise, he brings the noise leaving no doubt about his abilities. Lastly, most importantly in my opinion, is the ability to trust your team. Without trust, there is no faith, without faith, there is no hope, and with no hope well there is nothing! Jack committed to Grinnell University.

Zane Owens | Class of 2028 | X @Zane_Owens1

Electricity is what happens anytime Mr. Zane Owens touches the ball. A highly gifted athlete, who has the burners to run away from defenders in the open field, and the physicality to run between the tackles.

The class of 2028 quarterback and safety is a proven leader, he plays like an upperclassman. To say Zane is a gamer would be an understatement. Early into his freshman season his squad was down 20 points in the fourth quarter at home and noticed people leaving the stands. The entire team took offense to that, and Owens led Anadarko to a 2-point win.

Competition is what the blazing signal caller lives for, no matter how mighty the opponent is, you better believe your lunch should be packed because Zane Owens is bringing it all game long. Owens is a prospect to keep an eye on in Sooner state.

Malikai Miller | Class of 2025 | @malikaimiller7

Malikai Miller is a name to remember, the Harding Bison commit has all the tools to find success at the next level. Miller, who is a bit undersized at 5’11” makes up for the lack of size with his playmaking ability. Before committing to Harding, the electric QB led the Moore Lions to their first playoff appearance in 5 years. This past season Malikai threw for nearly 1,800 yards with 17 touchdowns through the air, adding 780 yards and 7 touchdowns on the ground.

Boasting almost 8 yards a carry, the quarterback is a dual threat who makes defenses play honestly. Watching Malikai led Moore to back-to-back victories against their biggest rival, shows that Miller is more than up to the challenge of living up to the tradition of excellence at Harding.
